Let’s face it, writing is a business. More accurately, the selling of your written material is a business. Writers write for the love of the written word, or at least we hope that’s why they do it, but they also want to make enough money to be able to support this love.   1. That was a great article. I was glad to see that she got to the bottom line…serious writers write because they have passion. They want to share their stories. I think the adjustments made in publishing today (authors first self-publishing, smaller advances, etc.) will ultimately lead to a healthier market.
